AIDA 1 ★
AIDA 1 * Freediver Course teaches you the very basic theory of Freediving and covers the main risks and dangers of freediving and how to avoid them. You will learn basic freediving skills in a swimming pool and it is recommended for students with either no previous freediving experience or who would like to try freediving for one day and still get a qualification.
AIDA 1 * Course takes 1 day to complete and consists of 2 sections:
- Knowledge Development: your instructor will conduct a classroom session where you will cover what is Freediving, what kind of equipment is needed and how to prepare yourself for a breathhold dive.
- Confined water session: where you will learn basic freediving skills in a swimming pool including breathing techniques, duck diving, finning, buddying and safety techniques.
You will need to complete the Medical Form below to show you are fit to take the course so please review it before confirming participation in the course.
Your day will usually start at 9am in the classroom where you will complete the required course paperwork and receive a short briefing before going to the swimming pool to practice the skills and diving techniques you have discussed to become a strong freediver.
After lunch you will go back to the classroom for theory presentations from your instructor.
