Boats & Facilities
The Freediving Academy use the speedboats belonging to our parent company The Dive Academy which are built specifically for diving which means we take you to the dive sites quickly and comfortably at the same time as giving you the best possible service.
Both Midnight Blues have the latest in GPS technology so finding the less commonly visited dive sites is easier and with an iPod / iPhone compatible stereo system we provide some relaxing, chilled out tunes while your’e eating your delicious lunch.
For additional customer comfort, both boats are strictly NO SMOKING boats and as you would expect on boats owned by a PADI 5 Star Centre we have Emergency Oxygen, First Aid Kit and Lifejackets on board.
The Dive Academy’s facilities and service are arguably the best on the island and we are the only diver training centre on Samui who have all of their own facilities contained in one location.
Our main dive centre has 2 modern, comfortable, air-conditioned training rooms allowing customers to learn in a relaxed and friendly environment and we use up to date PADI training materials using the latest technology and PADI Digital Products.
The Dive Academy are the only dive centre on Koh Samui who have their own, purpose built, 3.5m deep swimming pool located on site which is perfect for simulating real diving in a safe training environment and provides students with a more realistic diving environment to perfect their skills.
Having the pool onsite also means you do not need to be transported elsewhere to use a public swimming pool to complete your inwater training or be interrupted by hotel guests when you are using a pool in a hotel or resort. Having our own pool means we can schedule the pool sessions at a time that suits your training and anything else you have planned on your holiday.
Also at our dive centre you are able to browse our retail section, which is located in store, for any items you may need for freediving or just want. If you are interested in having your own equipment we will give honest advice on some of the top brand names of diving equipment including Scubapro, Seac Sub, Suunto and Aqualung
